Team and structures
We are our own customer too.
Our own business processes run on agents, from accounting to creating quotes. We do not sell anything that we do not use ourselves every day.
People take on two tasks here: business development and technology development. Behind that is a small team of AI-first developers.
The number of employees is not what we define ourselves by. We define ourselves by the value we create for the customer, and that is what we prove.
Our headquarters is in Munich, one of the most vibrant AI locations in Europe.

The narrative
„Germany is falling behind, China is taking over, America is out of reach.“ If you think that way, you cannot win at all.
The finding
One of the foundations of modern AI comes from Munich. In the early nineties, Sepp Hochreiter described at TU Munich why neural networks lose track when learning over long contexts. In 1997, together with Jürgen Schmidhuber, he published the answer: the LSTM architecture. For years it has powered speech recognition and translation on billions of devices.
Add to this strong engineers, excellent research and mid-sized companies with real fields of application that are looking for solutions right now. Anyone who wants to win business customers in Europe must be able to demonstrate clean data handling. The GDPR thus becomes a growing competitive advantage.
And those who supposedly raced ahead? A property crisis and demographics in China, political upheaval in the USA: the race is more open than the constant narrative claims.
The stance
What is missing is neither talent nor research nor opportunity. What is missing is self-confidence and pragmatism in execution. The technology has to get into operations, not into the next strategy paper.

The founder
The bridge between technology and leadership.
Francesco Flögel studied electrical engineering and information technology and has known neural networks since his thesis on autonomous driving at the University of Ulm, almost twenty years ago. After years in the automotive industry, he spent more than twelve years in various leadership positions at Hilti. Most recently he was responsible for software quality, IT security and regulatory matters for all software development organisations in the Construction Software division.
With the founding of Avolaine AI, he now brings all of this experience together. Business understanding, leadership experience and technical expertise form the basis for discussing matters on equal footing with management.
